SNAME Texas Section

The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) is an internationally recognized nonprofit, technical, professional society of individual members serving the maritime and offshore industries and their suppliers.

The SNAME Texas Section is one of the largest section in SNAME with over 900 members, clearly living upto the norm of “everything is big in Texas”. Being located in Oil and Gas capital of the world the activities of the section largely caters to the oil and gas industry. The section due to it activities and size is among the Super Sections in SNAME. Apart from holding monthly luncheons the section also hosts YP events, OTC Mentor for a Day and annual offshore symposium.
